Ada Gayle Wallace
Jackson News

    Ada Gayle Wallace, 57 of Ripley passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at her home following a long illness. Ada was born November 14, 1954 at Charleston a daughter of Oscar and Lois Vineyard Wallace of Ripley. She graduated from Ripley High School and Marshall University where she earned a masters degree in education. She was a former Jackson County Jr. Fair Queen. She was a 4th and 5th grade teacher for 37 years with the Jackson County Board of Education and taught at Ripley Elementary School. She loved teaching and involving her students in many special projects including Creative writing contests, making fleece blankets for nursing home patients and native American studies.

    In addition to her parents Oscar and Lois Wallace she is survived by her children Katie Casto of Ripley and Mark Casto of Ripley; brothers Bryan Douglas Wallace of Marietta, OH and Oscar Theodore Wallace of San Dinas, CA; sister Jodie Wallace of Alexander, VA.

    A funeral service was held at 7 pm Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Rev. Teresa Deane officiated.
