Betty Lee Dolan, 85, of Ripley passed away Friday, May 1, at Jackson General Hospital following a short illness.
She was born May 21, 1923, in Spencer, a daughter of the late Theodore and Elsie Casto Miller. She was a retired kindergarten aide with the Jackson County Board of Education and a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wendell Dolan of Ripley; daughter Debbie McGrew of Ripley; brother Jack Miller of Spencer; and grandchildren Doug (Shannon) McGrew, Sarah McGrew and Matt McGrew. Betty also leaves one great-grandchild, Zephyr Stout.
Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 4, at the Waybright Funeral Home, 511 South Church Street, Ripley, beside Fruth Pharmacy, with Pastors Terry Deane and Jimmie Compton officiating. Burial was at 3:00 p.m. at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
Friends called from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
