Frances Anne King
Parkersburg News and Sentinel


Frances Anne King, of Ripley, passed away Jan. 12, 2010, at Jackson General Hospital following a short illness.

She was the daughter of the late Hollis H. and Brown Armstrong King.

Anne is survived by Cora S. Bourgeois, her foster daughter; grandchildren, Bonnie Curry and her husband, John, David Bourgeois and his wife, Sandra, Rachel Bourgeois and Jennifer Gandee and her husband, Marshall; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-granchildren; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandaughter, Linda Hunter.

Anne was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church of Ripley, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Jackson County Humane Society.

At the request of Anne, a private service will be held at her home followed by burial at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. A visitation for her close friends and family will be held on Friday, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at her home, 315 North Street, Ripley. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley is serving the family.
