Junior Wayne Parsons

Junior Wayne Parsons, 76, of Ripley, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at his home.

He was born Nov. 21, 1930, the son of the late Royce and Pauline Carpenter Parsons at Frozen Camp, Jackson County. He was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, the Ripley Masonic Lodge #16, an Army veteran and was the owner of the Elk Valley Motor Freight.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Hazel Marie Casto Parsons; a daughter, Cindi Parsons Dunn and husband, Billy Ray, of Harpers Ferry; a son, Alex Parsons of Kenna; a grandson, Nicholas Boyles and wife, Angela, of Elkins; and great-granddaughters, Gracie Marie and Hannah Lee Boyles of Elkins.

Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, at the Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with John Gunther officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Roane County. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epworth United Methodist Church Building Fund, 299 N. Church St., Ripley, WV 25271 or Kanawha Hospice, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.
