Katherine Ruth (Hockenberry) Booker "Katy"

Katherine Ruth Booker, 86, of Ripley passed away October 22, 2010 following an extended illness.
She was born July 18, 1924 in Ripley, a daughter to the late Okey J. and Ruth Prickett Hockenberry.
During her life she was employed by Dupont, United National Bank, and the Jackson Co. School Board of Education.

In addition to her parents, a brother, John W. Hockenberry, preceded her in death.

She  is survived by her husband, Walter L. Booker; sons, William W. Booker of Charleston, and Robert M. Booker of South Charleston; daughter, Susan Booker Walker of Ellicott City, MD, and seven grandchildren, Rebecca Mellema, Jennifer, and James Booker, and Jessica, Bethany, Zachary, and Samuel Walker, along with one great grandson, Deacon Booker.

Service will be Wednesday, October 27, 2010, 1:00 pm at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Terry Deane officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.  Friends may call from 11:00-1:00 Wednesday prior to the service.  Waybright Funeral Home will be serving the family.
