RELAY FOR LIFE LUNCHEON A SUCCESS!
A big thank you to those who attended the annual Relay for Life luncheon…it brought in a total of $650.00!
Thanks to all who helped work in the kitchen and fellowship center in setting up and taking down the tables, washing dishes, etc. You were fantastic! Also, it would not have been possible without all the sandwiches, salads, chips, cookies, ect.
We hope to raise funds again next year for the cancer Relay.
Thanks to Rev. Deane for her enthusiasm and support.
The annual walk for Relay for Life is Friday, June 20 at the county fairgrounds at Cottageville. You should be there between 5-5:30, the walk begins at 6pm.
RELAY FOR LIFE is an event that makes us aware of all types of cancer that so many people suffer with. In Jackson county alone, 33 teams and 283 participants have raised $24,475.19 for this annual event.

This year the Relay for Life event will be held on June 20th at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. The county committee is starting early, to bring awareness to the program, with a “DIME” campaign that says “Silver Saves Lives!” A bottle will be on the table in the narthex to collect your dimes on Sunday morning and if it becomes full by June 20th, we will have given $100.00 to the overall event!
Also, there are forms on the table for you to take one, and fill out to honor a loved one who has had cancer. There is a $10.00 donation that will bring you a t-shirt to wear in the walk.
There is also a donor bag that you can take to put the name of the person you are honoring. On the night of the event, the bag will have a candle inside and these will be placed around the walk signifying loved ones whom you have honored. Call Ollie Harvey, 304-372-9516 with any questions. God Bless!
