Norman "Ted" Lee
Norman Ted Lee, 72, of Ripley died on Tuesday, July 12, 2005.
He was born March 9, 1933, in Kinmundy, Ill., a son of Flora Brimberry Lee of Ripley and the late Frank Lee.
He was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church in Ripley, a veteran of the United States Air Force, having service in the Korean War. He was a member of the Ripley Lodge No. 16 A.F. & A.M., Independent Order of Odd Fellows, American Legion, and a life member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars, along with the National Rifle Association.
Ted was a Certified Professional Landsman and worked in the oil and gas industry for 30 years. He was a past president of the American Association of Petroleum Landsmen, Michael Benedum Chapter. He enjoyed sports and was a former writer covering football for The Jackson Herald. He was also owner of The Primer Pocket prior to his retirement.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ingrid Starcher Lee; one daughter, Debbie and Doug McCauley of Statts Mill; two sons, Kevin and Sonja Lee of Ripley, Kelly and Rhonda Lee of Evans; four granddaughters, Monica McCauley Thomas, Staci Lee, Dani Lee, and Kati Lee; two grandsons, Tyler McCauley and Frankie Lee; two sisters, Betty Stephens of Georgetown, Texas and Dee Holler of Iola, Texas.
